Do you know what your MP has done for you in the last year?
In most cases I think not!
If MP's are to regain trust from their voters I propose that in addition to publishing their expenses they should also publish a report on what they have done for their constituents during the year so that we have an overall picture of their performance. This would be especially useful prior to a general election and would also give the newspapers something else to delve into!
We should know exactly what MP's have and have not done so that we can make an informed choice as to whether we wish them to continue rather than blindly voting for a particular party just because we always have.
Perspective candidates should also provide detailed reasons why they should have our votes. In any other job they would have to!
The political party that is brave enough to introduce this would get my vote!
